Tredethy is a family run country mansion house set within a ten acre garden in the heart of the Camel Valley. The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock and Padstow are all within 20 minutes distance.
Tredethy offers luxury guest accommodation in a wonderful rural location. Generously sized bedrooms with fantastic views over the Camel Valley. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and some rooms have sitting areas. All are decorated and furnished to the highest of standards to ensure a truly luxurious country house feel. Tredethy retains many of the original features you would expect from a house of this age and stature, such as granite fireplaces, beautiful decorative plasterwork, high ceilings and large sash windows. Enjoy our ten-acre garden with the outdoor heated swimming pool (May to September).
The property has royal connections, having been purchased by Prince Chula of Siam in 1945. He was the legal guardian of Prince Bira, a famous motor racing champion of the 1930's and 1940's.
Our house is Johansens recommended and has recently been featured in the Guardian newspaper as a great place to stay (April 2005).
Restaurants and Bars
The breakfast room, with its splendidly decorated high ceiling, large sash windows and wonderful views over the Camel Valley really makes this a lovely room in which to serve you breakfast.

Camel trail cycling/walking (0 km) - Great cycling and walking within a stonesthrow from our garden. Bike hire available locally.
Winery (5 km) - Award winning Camel Valley vineyard. Wine tasting and tours available.
Golf (8 km) - Lanhydrock, St. Enodoc, and St. Kew golf courses.
Beaches (10 km) - Rock, Daymer bay,and Polzeath beaches.
Directions
From Exeter, proceed to Cornwall on the A30. Take the right hand turn to Helland (also signposted for Launceston A30). This is 8 miles past the Jamaica Inn and approximately 4 miles before Bodmin. After turning right for Helland off of the dual carriageway, cross over two cattle grids, then turn left at the first small crossroads. Proceed along this lane through Helland, over the bridge and up the hill. You will see Tredethy on the right hand side.
