A family run XIXth century country house Hotel set in it`s own grounds. Ideal base for visiting Hadrian`s Wall, Lake District, Carlisle and Scotland.
Our hotel began life as a vicarage built in the neo-Gothic style typical of the mid Victorian period. We have refurbished the building in keeping with the character of the building but with the introduction of modern amenities.
We believe in making your stay as enjoyable as possible by offering a warm and relaxing atmosphere in a NON SMOKING environment.
We have a bar and lounge to unwind by the cosy log fire, and a large dining room to sample our extensive menu focusing on local ingredients and catering for all tastes.
We are open only to residents and their guests giving you maximum access to our facilites.
We also have a large outdoor decked area, where you can enjoy our panoramic views.
Should you wish to explore locally, the hotel is sited just 5 minutes walking distance from the Georgian market town of Brampton, but in grounds set well back from the main road to ensure a good night's sleep.
We offer a relaxed, informal environment allowing you to unwind whilst overlooking the surrounding countryside and sampling our menu which caters for traditional and modern tastes.

Hadrian's Wall (2 km) - Now a world heritage site the wall is one of the best preserved frontiers of the Roman world, featuring castles, forts and villas.
Talkin Tarn Country Park (3 km) - A natural 'tarn', or small lake, enjoyed by tourists since Victorian times. Features, boating, nature trails and coffee shop.
Birdoswald Roman Museum (7 km) - A working Roman museum. With Roman ruins, re-enactments and activities.

Directions
BY ROAD: M6 junction 43, then take the A69 Carlisle to Newcastle Road, after approx. 9 miles, turn into Brampton. Then take the A6071 Brampton-Longtown Road, after quarter of a mile you pass school on the left hand side. Kirby Moor Hotel is just past the school on the left.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT: From London/Glasgow by the West Coast Line, change at Carlisle. Brampton Station is one and a half miles from the town centre.
